Mumbai based model Preeti Jain sentenced to 3 years – the court announced the judgment today

Controversial model Preeti Jain sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment for conspiring to murder the famous Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar. On Friday, 28th April, the session court in Mumbai convicted the Mumbai based model Preeti Jain and sentenced her to 3 years of imprisonment for plotting the scheme to kill the director Madhur Bhandarkar. Way back in 2005, she had filed a rape case against the director, but the accusations were dropped by the court in 2012 by giving the filmmaker a clean chit in the case.

Preeti had filed the complaint against the director in 2004 mentioning that they both had sex 16 times with a promise that the director in return would give her a leading role in his movies. But he did not do so. Thus when she refused his sexual offers at time later, he raped her. She then hired Naresh Pardesi for killing Madhur and paid him 75,000 Rs for this work in 2005. Naresh did not kill the director. Thus Preeti approached the gangster Arun Gawli, who then informed the police. After a week time, the case was then registered by the police on September 10th, 2005. Naresh Pardesi was nabbed and Preeti was picked up.
