Manto first look now has been released – Nawazuddin Siddique plays the main role

Nandita Das’s upcoming movie ‘Manto’ has been quite well in news and for the promotion of this film she along with the leading star Nawazuddin Siddique was there at Cannes Film Festival 2017. The film is based on the most famous and controversial Urdu literature writer, short story writer and dramatist Saadat Hassan Manto. Well, Manto first look has now been released by the makers.

Nandita has said in an interview that she always wanted to make a movie on Manto and now she got the chance to make. She is thrilled about this flick.

Nawazuddin Siddique plays the role of Saadat Hassan Manto and aptly looks like the Urdu Literature genius writer, who was much controversial for his write ups in his time. Manto even was jailed for his short story ‘Thanda Ghosht’. He used to be in controversies and was criticized massively because he would bring up the social evils of the society in his writings.

Let’s wait and watch how creatively Nandita makes this movie on the genius personality of Urdu literature.
